George W. Bush needs little introduction, as the recent 43rd president of the United States. He was first elected in 2000, and again for a second term in 2004. He is only the second president to come to the White House following his father.

As with most presidential families, the documentation is extensive and can go on for many more generations than I have included here. If you go back far enough, his ancestry connects to the British royal family through the marriage of Humphry de Bohun and Princess Elizabeth Plantagenet (who are also ancestors of mine). In 1977, George W. Bush married Laura Welch. Their twin daughters, Jenna and Barbara, were born in 1981. Jenna is married to Henry Hager, and Barbara is unmarried at the time of this writing.
